Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that modern assembly lines made the the individual steps extremely small. Assuming the parts come from the same place, one station in the assembly line has someone putting two or three bolts in, very simplified, or so I thought. Obviously I don't mean actually two or three bolts but you get what I mean, the assembly line has such micro steps that where it was built IE the craftsman's competence at putting a car together has nothing to do with it.
