Where is mist howler in wow

For some people, I guess Mist Howler was nothing to find and tame, but for others, including me, that S. Three days I hunted him in Ashenvale! Had the macro set up and everything, but no dice, unfortunately. Then, last night at pm C. So, I waited until exactly pm tonight, wich was about 30 minutes ago, logged in, and the first thing I saw was Mist Holwer! It was magical. I'm really happy now. Taming him was easy as hell for me.

When he broke out of the trap, he was more than half way tamed and he didn't fear me and I tamed him! I'm really excited now. So, I guess, for those of you that didn't know, anytime there's a server restart, wait 24 hours, then go to the loation of the pet that you want to tame, and do it to it! The map up above that shows where he roams is very accurate. Edited, Thu Feb 16 Comment by Allakhazam Tamed him this morning around eastern.

Heading from Zoram outpost I saw him within 5 min by the path on North side of it. Not to far NW of the ruined pavillion. I set my freeze trap to close and it gave way to fast. Trapped him again and got him.

Good looking wolf. Att speed 1. Comment by Allakhazam This guy is a pain to find when you are looking for him. I saw him once when i was 25 and killed him not thinking about the tame, I also didn't know his nice attack speed. Then when i found out i kicked myself in the ass. Now I cant find him, and why can't there be more rarespawns with wolf skins, not WORGS wolves, worgs are wolf wannabes. Comment by Allakhazam Had been looking for him for 2 days already and its hard to encounter him So luckily i had this day of so i thought if i stand up a bit early most kids are at school i have a bigger chance, since its on a 12 hour spawn time and not many people quest there at night i figured So at 10 AM i found nothing at first, but when i checked again around Mist Howler Caught at around Edited, Fri Mar 10 Like always, my luck either sucks or rocks.

It was both this time. However, I'm only 21 now, and he's I couldn't tame him and had to run away. I'm so sad now. If that fails, I'll wait for the server to restart. Thanks SO much for telling me that!

I'm making sure the rest of my friends know that. Got super-lucky! I finished getting to 22, and was just cruising around to see if I could see him, figuring that he'd been killed in the five or six hours since I'd last seen him, and there he was on track!

Got him on the fourth or fifth try, too. As long as he doesn't pull the howl on you did it every time JUST as the taming was about to finish , you only have about five or eight seconds left on the tame when he breaks free of the trap, which helps a LOT. And yes, he's fast, he's pretty, and he does mad DPS.

I love my new Perrin! Comment by Allakhazam Following all the advice on this page, last night I set my baby hunter level 23 up in the northern of the two spawn areas, took a quick look around, then quit for the evening. When I logged in this morning, there was Mist Howler, right in front of me! A single freeze trap was all I needed - tamed him on the first try.

Comment by Allakhazam Man, he was a pain to tame. Hits quicky, and muscle tears, fears, and rends. What are the chances? I decided to read about other pets on Allakhazam and decided to go have a look for Ghost Saber. Since my hunter was logged in Ashenvale, I checked Mist Howler's spawn one last time and saw his dot on my minimap. Oh yes, he adds to the collection of my Narnia characters. Comment by Allakhazam I found him around 11 am or so at the Northern most spot on map.

He broke taming and I had to fear him. I still cant decide if I should drop him and go for Slavering Worg or not.. Worg looks nice and evil.

Comment by Allakhazam Well the things i like i about this wolf is Comment by Allakhazam im a level 32 elf hunter and i recently found and tamed this bad puppie and he wasnt a problem for me as he was when i was level 23 he didnt even try and fear me at all i am very happy with my puppie his name is MistHowler so everyone knows whut kind of wolf he is very hard to level tho seeing as we are ten levels apart and he doesnt hold agro very well Comment by Allakhazam I found 'em by accident and have yet to find a pet I like better, currently 34th level.

Comment by Allakhazam Been looking for 5 hours but he just won't spawn:S. He appeared south of the road leading to Zoram Strand and West of Maestra's post. It took me three tries. I planted a Freeze trap and waited until he was in position.

I then fired a concussive shot and began taming. After breeaking the trap, he immediatley used his fear ability. I turned right around and feared him myself and ran. This happened twice, until one time he decided not to use the fear. That is when I completed my task.

All I have to say is Edited, Tue Oct 4 Unfortunately, an Alliance paladin came along and not only ganked me, but killed the wolf while I was doing a corpse run!

Tonight I decided to camp for him and after about an hour and a half he respawned at the same point at approximately PM, so it looks like he's on more like an 11 or 12 hour timer. I had success taming him by using an ice trap, using concussion shot, and immediately taming while he was stunned and then frozen.

He only had 4 or 5 seconds left on the tame timer to attack me and didn't get a fear off. He tamed at level 22 yes, not 23 with a 1. No bite or claw, but he learned the free Growl rank 3 even though he had training points. Good luck Comment by Allakhazam Wow, I've never had so much trouble taming a pet before Found it by accident; was taking a hippogryph to Astranaar from Darkshore and just happened to see his mark on my map.

Noted his location on the map and ran back when I got to Astranaar. How active are you of late — in regards to blogging compared to when you started WoW blogging?

I love my mist howler. Back in vanilla, my first toon was a hunter. He was still is a great pet. I dropped my hunter around lv 44 back in and recently decided to boost him to When I logged back on he was still the only pet in my stable but he had lost all that speed… Great times playing with him in PvP back in the day. I think they are a good subject for a post, all the grind for the skill book makes then deserving the title of rare pets. I never tamed Mist Howler. This memory of yours also reminded me of my submission on taming Terrorpene.

I noticed someone recently commented on it and when I read the comment, I also re-read the piece I wrote. Your email address will not be published. My search for Mist Howler was put on hold…until later. Comment by Pyratewench He surprised me as I was just running through the area on my lvl 11 shadow priest. It was a long fight, but I killed him, solo, without dying. BOAs ftw.

Comment by Well, this guy was certainly a tad irritating for me to tame. When I first appeared in Ashenvale, I was only level When he popped up on Silver Dragon, I was so excited that it didn't even occur to me that he was level 21, I was only level 20, so I couldn't tame him, until after hitting "Tame Pet" did nothing but tell me I was too low of a level.

Frustrated, I killed him for a chunk of xp, killed some naga and turned in some quests, then came back at After doing some digging I found out that unlike most low level rare spawn pets, he's actually semi-rare, sporting an hour spawn timer. O Miffed, I went about my day questing and getting to level 24 so I could tame Ursol'lok, which I did successfully. Shortly after, I went up close to where his spawn points where and called it a night. I log in not too long ago, Ursol'lok at my side, and out of sheer laziness, used Eagle Eye to check around.

First cast, BAM, npc scan goes nuts. I target him after jumping to cancel Eagle Eye, which made it to where I could actually see him dismissed Ursol'lok and waited for him to finish killing a deer before hitting Tame.

At first, I was just a tad worried I was going to die. Even at level 24 with a couple of pieces of BoA gear, he was hitting me pretty hard. Halfway through the tame, I realized that he had feared me. Turn around after fear wears off, cast Tame Pet again Comment by aferris86 Got him at Comment by Capri Tamed this beauty twice on two different Hunters so far, can confirm he's on the spot just above the Orendil's Retreat on the map.

The first time I tamed him I can remember he had Feared me, but the second time which was just a few minutes ago there was just a Rend ability on me. View in 3D Links.
